Welcome to my website! I'm Rachel, an experienced Aviation Communications Specialist with a passion for helping pilots achieve their professional goals of ICAO level 4 or higher!
With over 13 years of experience working at Cathay Pacific Airways and 3 years leading the Aviation English Department at FTE Jerez in Spain, I've had the privilege of working with pilots from diverse cultural backgrounds. My love for aviation and personal development, combined with extensive industry knowledge, has led me to be respected as an expert in the field of Aviation English Communications.
Despite facing a significant challenge in 2011 when I was unjustly fired for providing free video training support to pilots, I turned the situation around by creating an online Practice ICAO English course that helped hundreds of pilots pass their ICAO English test.
After rejoining Cathay Pacific, I continued to use my expertise to help pilots achieve ICAO level 4 and beyond, keeping their flying licenses secure.
A little bit about my aviation journey
In 2005, I co-developed the first ICAO English test accepted by the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department, ensuring that all Cathay Pacific pilots complied with the ICAO English licensing requirements. Later, I developed an ICAO English test for FTE, the first to be accepted by the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Department.
Being selected as a rater for the Rated Speech Sample Training Aid for ICAEA in 2011 was a true honor, and the resource remains highly recommended by ICAO today. You can access it here.
